Some training will need to occur.

1) How the teachers are to respond - fixed defense, versus seeking out the shooter.
2) how to identify themselves to first responders to prevent fratricide.
3) Joint training between the teachers and local LE.

At Deb Ray's town hall today there was a very articulate 21 year old woman . If she is any indication (my 25 and 27 yr old adults are like her ) i believe the 2nd will be safe for another generation

So the original point of the left was the someone armed with a 9mm would stand no chance against the FTL speed of 5.56....but bats work? It’s official, in PA a mini-Louisville slugger > 9mm. Clearly this is all being pushed by the .45ACP lobby.

I remember when those useless toy bats were just tchotchke giveaways to the first paid fans to arrive at baseball games! The biggest danger was somebody losing a tooth when cotton candy-fueled backseat squabbles ensued on the way home afterwards,

Bats would work fine. When someone shoots at them, they swing the bat and hit the bullet back at them.....duh! :smack:
