Case feeder stopped working and went to clear out the jam and this little bugger fell out. I was expecting a few bugs out of lee progressive presses but this is ridiculous...

Hmm looks familiar. Found this at AGC recently

I realized I had no more light loads for my C&R colt 38 specials. Made up a box of DSWC loads then made test loads for 45 Colt and 38 Spl for when a new acquisition get out of jail this week

Was going to work up some test loads with cast and Powder coated 140gr SWC but the darn sizing die has been stuck at UPS in Capital Hieghts for a week.

Those definitely look like my reloads. What does the headstamp look like?

Finished loading up 75 rounds of 115gr MBC 9mm

I think I might process a bunch of 45 tomorrow or in the next few days. My case collator showed for my Lee App and I really want to try it out. Run the 500 range cases I got from Iowa brass, then sort them in to large and small primer.

I’ve got an App swage kit coming soon. I am really looking forward to giving it a try with 223/5.56.

Then I need to work up a 7.62x25 load.

dunno, dropped it into the dud round bucket. :)
Here I thought you'd pull it toss the projectile and powder, and use the primed case again haha.

I been loading them with corrosive primers as of late, but I had a batch done with cci 500s and even 450s.

I found a 9mm and a 45 on the range a couple of weeks ago.

That’s what I did (well, I kept the bullets as FMJ after weighing them). Not much, but with current primer prices that’s like a $17 value from just two primed cases. *eyeroll*

Also as a reference point, about 9gr of pistol powder rolled in a little paper and thrown in a wood boiler will definitely give you a nice “whommph”

    Not that I’d know.

Powder coated some bullets I molded last week.
Also started sizing/depriming some 7.62x39 with Lee Dies. About 10 of the 140 I did would not slip into the shell holder until I filed some of the rim in the gap down.
Wondering if anyone else who reloads 7.62x39 and uses Lee dies has this happen. It was Norma or GECO cases. All the PPU had no problems.

I have had problems with Norma 45 Colt that won't fit in a standard Colt shell holder. They do work in the Dillon as the Dillon shell plates have pretty loose tolerances.

This happened to me to a 308/45 ACP LM shellplate that was picky on military 308, probably roughened up by a battle rifle. I sent the shellplate back to lee with the military 308 cases that "didn't fit" and had them fit it for me. They winded up just sending me a whole new shellplate that fits those sample of shells and all is good.

Did my first 7.62x39 brass a couple of weeks ago. Out of 600+, I had 2 that would not go into the shell holder. They are now in the scrap bucket. Both were Geco cases and made me glad that I did not buy any of that ammo. I also found the primer pockets to be very difficult to get clean and seemed too deep on the Geco cases that I did resize.

thx for the info. I wet tumbled them and dried last night. They look great. You reminded me I need to swage these. I'll swage the primer pockets next. Since I'm using powder coated gas checked bullets, I found a load I think I will try using 2400. I'll load some dummy rounds first to make sure I can feed/eject them in the SKS and VZ2008. Again, thx to John for the M die so I can flare these cases out to accept the PC gas checked bullets.

A weekend of decapping, tumbling, cleaning and swaging. I have a lot of Lake City brass that needs processing. I did about 800 rounds over the weekend and broke out the new sonic cleaner to see how that cleans the brass. Did a pretty good job. Now I'm into a rhythm of a few hundred rounds decapped standing at the bench, sitting down and watching some Prime or Netflix with the Super Swage in my lap, tossing them into the tumbler and then a couple iterations on the cleaner and let dry. Load the processed brass back into their boxes and mark them as "D,S,T,C": Decapped, Swaged, Tumbled and Cleaned. Later I'll either use them in loading sessions later or resize and trim and mark the boxes accordingly.

I am little OCD about this and I see building up component stocks ready for loading to be the goal. It is therapeutic to process brass and I am a bit of a hoarder so I like seeing dirty bags of brass come out shiny and ready for use on the other end. Heck if I keep it up I could sell processed brass and make a little money at it if the ammunition shortage remains like this for the foreseeable future. A lot of folks don't want to deal with military brass. I'll take all I can get my hands on right now. I have a few thousand more pieces of once-fired on order.
