The Massachusetts Attorney General suffered a significant loss on Wednesday March 14th, when a federal court ruled that a lawsuit challenging her July 2016 assault weapons 'Enforcement Notice' could move forward. The court denied the Attorney General's motion to dismiss finding that the plaintiffs had "raised genuine questions as to whether it gives ‘fair notice of conduct that is forbidden’ with respect to sale of certain weapons enumerated in the complaint."

The suit was brought by several local gun shops and the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Comm2A is not a party to this action. If the Attorney General does not appeal the denial, the case will move forward in the district court. The court's very readable order can be found here
