Brothers and sisters - The filing deadline has come and gone and we have a great chance at taking all the seats in District32 (D32). D32 covers Linthicum, Glenburnie (west of Ritchie HWY), Severn, Hanover, Ferndale, Jessup, Ft Meade, Old Odenton, Hanover, Maryland City, Russett, a small slice of Laurel and Ft Meade.

We have solid candidates and the democrats are pushing to the left with seven people in their primary. They are trying to paint the incumbents as too conservative.... Amazing. Please consider supporting my campaign for State Delegate in D32. We need volunteers, donations and more importantly sharing our information. We need help on election day and early voting to offset irregularities and educate voters.

I encourage you to check out my website; waltersfor32.com and my FB page. We can make a big difference in D32 and help our cause.

    Folks,

I suggest that our members who belong to clubs, make a copy of Tim's post and 1) put it on your club bulletin board and 2) get it into your newsletter.

I'm not in District 32 but I wish you luck Tim. I am posting it at my club on Saturday.

Please do not make the mistake of saying, "This isn't my district." When Tim wins he will be representing ALL of us regardless of district. You may not be able to vote for him, but there is so much more you can do! I know for a fact that he stands a better chance with volunteers helping him at the polling places. The early voting sites are critical and he will need as many supporters as possible regardless of the district they live in.

As always you are spot on my friend. We are a targeted district by Governor Hogan. This means he believes we can win here and help his veto of stupid laws stand. This is huge. If you live on the eastern shore or western Maryland or otherwise solid red areas your donations and time to our fight will be a solid investment in making changes in Maryland.

Look at this way you would not send arms and ammo to a front that is secure and quiet when the battle is raging on another front and the same arms and ammo will turn the battle in our favor on that second front and move us closer to winning the war.

    Cross-posting because it matters...

I had dinner with a gentleman who who lobbies our state legislature on behalf of a professional organization that I belong to. He shared some of his thoughts on effectively influencing people in Annapolis. One of his strategies was to host neighborhood "fund raiser" parties for his chosen candidates. It seemed to be an effective way of both getting people into office and buying influence once they get elected. It sounded like he wasn't spending a lot of money relative to the results he got.

I just thought it would be worth sharing this with someone motivated to play politics like you.

I was just speaking with a candidate about this very thing yesterday.

The concept of holding the small events is an effective way of getting people involved with their friends and neighbors, and spreading the word at ground level.

Even simple dinner parties or 'wine and cheese' meet-and-greets are a way to get a candidate in front of potential voters... then they tell 2 friends...

As for DiNO? It definitely has some value, depending on the district.

Where I am, in 32, there are only 3 Rs running for the House, so it's guaranteed they will all get through to the general. But, at least one of them hasn't been much of a team player so far, so comments from 'Registered Democrats' could put a little precision pressure to play nice (more to follow as I get additional information).

The other goal here, IMO, is to beat the Dem incumbents. Two are running in the 7-person field for the House, and both of them were beaten pretty solidly in their home precincts last cycle. They are vulnerable. One is also venerable, and my personal opinion is that he will retire immediately, should he be elected.

The third Dem incumbent is running for Senate against 2 Republicans, and she is not well liked, becoming somewhat paranoid (anecdotes I've heard), and was also beaten in her home precinct last time. Nothing we could do to stop her in the primary, but she really hates conservative Democrats and 2A supporters, so some calls and letters couldn't hurt ;)

Bottom line... even the incumbents' neighbors don't like them, so DiNO in 32 should be viable, to get the incumbents ousted in the primary... provided folks get active for the non-viable Ds, counter the incumbents where possible, and be ready to go full-bore for the good Rs in the General.

    Well.........

    Ain't this something...

At the Ferndale Day parade, the wannabe State Senator Pam Beidle's car was in the parade... but Pam WASN'T!!

It was just her husband and a teenage girl (granddaughter??) in a convertible, with "Delegate" car magnets, and a magnet for the newcomer, who they are promoting as if they were already an incumbent.

Just further proof these folks feel entitled to their seats.

It was great walking with Tim and the crew (even though my footses are regretting it), and getting to talk with folks I hadn't seen in a couple years.

That is a great raffle for a great cause. That Henry rifle is gorgeous. I'd vote for Tim. He's a genuine, honest, no BS guy!

Fun event tonight for the D32 and D31A Republican candidates for Delegate, hosted by the House Republican Caucus, headlined by Nic Kipke, with a keynote by Boyd Rutherford.

Plenty of good talk about the state of the races (which are all polling positively, but still more work to do), and chances to chat with all those present.

Also there were Steve Schuh (CoExec), Kathy Szeliga, and several other local candidates and officeholders.

Even my wife opened up a bit and got to talking with folks about politics.

Not a huge event, as it was mostly a short notice thing, but I think very productive.

    Fire mission...

Was asked today by a Rep candidate to keep ears open, as there have been some rumblings of mud about to be slung by Dems at the last minute, and misrepresentations of voting information.

Some of that, IMO, is to be expected, but for them to ask for ears on the ground suggests it could get bad.

So, I'll ask you all the same thing, particularly as it relates to the House and Senate races in D32.

Also, I'll put a reminder out there that support is shoe-leather too!! Sign waving for your favorite(s) is great. Just ask the campaigns what they need.

Don't worry H; many votes have been cast for Walters.

Beidle makes me throw up. As that worthless f*ck Mark Chang (**** on a boar hog he is - I had a negative community run in regarding him years ago in my community).

Oh, I have no worries about the fundamentals for all the candidates, but we know that "Evil Cheats", and it's something we should be on top of.

As for Tim? I just posted it here because it's the only district-specific thread... and I didn't say who asked me. I chatted with all 3 R Delegate candidates this week.

As for Beidle and Chang? Wastes of oxygen and fancy desks.

Looks like the Ds are pulling out all the stops. Seem to be spending as much on nastygrams as they are on their own mailers.

One benefit of registering D and donating R is I get everyone's mailers... but the only negative ones I see are trashing Rs.

Worst part is, most of it isn't true (or is at least heavily distorted).

I just got what may be the most insane news I've heard this cycle...

We knew that one R candidate for Delegate was telling people only to vote for them, rather than all 3 as a slate.

Well, I just heard that ALL 3 Ds were doing the same thing, which could all but kill their chances tonight.

If this turns out to be the case, it could mean that 5 of the needed 7 changeovers in the House would come out of northern AACo.
