Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think it is just the skeletonized trigger and hammer, the beaver tail, and the sight upgrades from RIA's GI model. The tactical is the next step up from GI.
Tactical has become a cliche' term. But it means duty or serious service, not range use. Fixed sights, adequate trigger weight, etc. YOu wouldn't take a Hammerli bullseye pistol on a drug raid.
"My First RIA Tactical"............Can't argue with a man that knows what he likes. Sounds like more in the future.
A name to denote a gun that has some upgrades from a basic GI version.
Makes me wonder what some gun maker PR people were thinking when they come up with gun names. Colt used the "Commander" and "Agent", S&W had the "Combat Magnum" and the "Combat Masterpiece".
