Unalienable rights generally aren't subject to someone else's vote.;)

    This...

Assume for a moment SB281 goes to ballot, and the State gives us a very weakly worded question.

Then, let's add in a "background checks" question (like proposed in WA), with lots of "common sense for the children and puppies" language (or ANY question backed by opposition philosophy).

Then, let's say we have a funding war like we had with the casinos initiative in AACo.

By and large, Conservatives do not vote in high percentages in MD, and certainly not in the population centers. As a result, not many will be willing to support our side, and attention would likely be diverted by the opposing ballot question.

I'm not saying it's destined to be a failing proposition... but it sure isn't likely to be a successful one!

Do you people hear what you're saying? Not up to vote? I guess the Constitution wasn't ratified by votes. I guess it can't be amended by votes. I guess the state legislature didn't take away our rights by votes. I guess our rights won't be decided in the courts by judges voting....

It's all votes. It doesn't matter what's right or wrong, it's how you play the game. I can't imagine how many laws currently on the books are technically unconstitutional, but due to general incompetence or corrupt agendas, we're stuck with them. NOTHING MATTERS ANYMORE. You're never going to be able to legally do the things you want unless you play the game, and you guys suck at it.
