I've had three XDs - a full-size XD, an XDM 3.8 and an XDS 4.0, all in 9mm. I really tried to like them but alas, none of them worked for me so I sold them all off for other guns. I'm not saying they are bad firearms, but they are definitely not my cup of tea.

I do like what they were doing with the longslide compacts though. The idea of the xds 4.0 and their old 45 with 5" slide, but subcompact grip really appealed to me. The length of the slide really doesn't make it difficult to conceal a gun, but the grip does. I'd love if I could get a M&P9 with the compact grip but 4.25" slide.

I agree. The xd/s in 45 has become my everyday ccw. I liked my solo but when I felt the xd/s in 45 it had to go.

This! I never thought I would find anything to make me put away my M&P 45C but my XDs 45 proved me wrong. Now I only carry my M&P to and from work while in uniform. All other times its the XDs.
