Is it legal to buy a newer Browning BAR in Maryland?

Hello All, New Member here, So if I'm posting this in the wrong place or its a re-post (I looked for a while and couldn't find anyone else who asked this question), please apply a non-lethal B-slap, send me a URL and I'll try to do better next time. Here's my Question: Is it legal to buy a newer Browning Automatic Rifle (BAR) in Maryland? Called MDSP and they say same thing I found: 1) No explicit verbiage saying it's banned, 2) Not banned due to any of the following restrictions: Barrel is > 16" Mag is < 10 rounds. Semi-auto. and 3) Does not have 2 of grenade launcher, flash hider or folding stock. But could not tell me if a buying a Browning BAR is legal. Also emailed my FFL (twice) asking her and have yet to hear back from her. Thanks, Griz

As to your question, perfectly legal to purchase and own in Maryland, if you have the money to spend on it.

Hi Guys, Sorry for the delay in answering because I was waiting for the auction I was bidding on to end. Since learning of it, I've been intrigued by the possibilities of the BAR with BOSS in 300 WinMag. So I grabbed a used one. Thanks again for your knowledge concerning the Regs. Griz
