Who are the they you're referrring to? I just want to make sure we're on the same page.

The mind virus that is communism and those who are infected by it.

Apply whatever name you want to it:

    Collectivism
    Communism
    Globalism
    Socialism
    Bankers
    One Worlders
    New World Order
    Bilderbergs
    Illuminati

Just like there are many names that describe the concept of God, I believe there are many names applied to the same entities that seek total control over our lives. The people that you see are just the tools and those that reap the true benefits stay in the background.

Read "Creature from Jekyll Island" and "Road to Serfdom" and do some reading on how the royalty of Europe, who were all related by blood or marriage, constantly created wars that benefitted themselves while letting the peasants and pseudo-royalty do the bleeding for them.

Do you believe that our President is complicit in this? Oh, and I 've read the Road to Serfdom along with various other Austrian Economics titles. My wife gave me the Reader's Digest oral book report on Jekylll Island.

I frankly think he's too stupid to know the difference. His lack of decisiveness on all of this indicates a lack of capacity to understand it.

Most of this stuff is happening to him, around him and in spite of him.

I again frankly believe that this is a coup d'etat of the country to install a Democrat president, an overthrow of the House and Senate, and a move to a greater collectivist mindset in the American public.

Translation is that I'll work harder and have less to show for it, meanwhile watching my money be dispersed to a recipient class who continues to be rewarded for poor decision making skills and unsustainable lifestyles.

And again, for the record, this is all separate from the need for concern around the medical and health implication of the bug.

All of these actions are political opportunism using the bug's appearance as leverage.

    Next will be:

"in the effort to be equitable in the allocation of resources to those most vulnerable within our community, we recognize that there are those that have engaged in opportunistic hoarding of these needed resources. Call 1-800-Get-Shit to report the behavior of these predators within our community."

    Already on it

Talked to a project manager for one of my clients this morning. Apparently him and a couple of buddies played a round of golf yesterday at a club outside Annapolis and after they finished were having a beer on the outside patio of the clubhouse when an AACo SWAT team raided the place.

I was skeptical of the SWAT aspect but he's a gun guy and said that they were definitely all tacticooled out and threatened to arrest every one.

Not AA Co, at least yet. Some jurisdictions are letting criminals out of jail, not arresting for non violent crimes, or property crimes, do they have/make time for group dispersal?

In light of the latest EO would a misdemeanor charge from overzealous enforcers make future purchases a problem?

You know Norton, there was a time when I thought something like that could never happen in these United States...now I'm not so sure. These last few weeks have been a real eye-opener for me and the citizenry's unquestioning easy acceptance of the new government policies is a little frightening.

I couldn't agree more. The Democrats tried for three years to take out the President, and the press, and let's face it, some of the Republicans, were complicit in their attempts. Along comes this virus and they pile on to it like flies in a horse barn trying to force their Leftist agenda into legislation in which it had no place. If we had a press that did its job, this could be stopped dead in its tracks.

The answer to this is "No". I believe the fine is $5,000 with up to a year in prison. So, the prison term is not long enough to make one prohibited.

Forgot about the term part of it. Thanks. Being pretty much an MD lifer I'm very wary of any statist decrees, laws, etc.
