hopefully the momentum holds. They want it to slow down so some middle of the road folks will back down and then they will start the death by a thousand cuts like here and cut the 2nd apart in pieces instead of as a whole.

Gun registration, that’s a great idea...no way they would ever use that list against you/confiscate after they decide to finish pissing on the Constitution and tell you you can have your day on Court in 5 years.

This is tyranny folks and this is exactly why the founders put the 2nd amendment right after free speech.

McEachin is going super duper nuclear.. He says Northam could “ nationalize the National Guard”. I’ve heard of calling out the National Guard. Whoa, if he nationalizes it, that could be seriously serious. The nationalness of it all.

“And ultimately, I'm not the governor, but the governor may have to nationalize the National Guard to enforce the law,” he said. “That's his call, because I don't know how serious these counties are and how severe the violations of law will be. But that's obviously an option he has.”

Isn't this one of the very things the Framers were worried about? Tyrants using standing armies against We The People? Sheesh. These idiots make the best arguments in favor the the 2A, and particularly in favor of people having arms suitable to service in a militia.

    Exactly.
    Their ignorance is stunning.

Given that this is right next door to DC and the media attention, I wonder if SCOTUS is looking at this as they ponder the NYSPR case?

If Northam really is resolved to "remove every "assault weapon" from the state of Virginia"...and keep in mind that just about every detachable magazine fed semi auto will be defined as "assault weapons" Then he isn't going to let some local government yokels stop him....that's where the fuse is lit...Real Virginians are not going to allow him to take their weapons....Virginia is a pretty large state and only a few counties in NOVA And of course Richmond are left wing....Once lit it's not going to end well for those places.

Bear in mind that Leftist counties are shown to be as such because of the number of active voters, not necessarily the makeup of the entire population. The majority of adults don't bother to vote. So the true sentiments of the Blue counties is anyone's guess.. :innocent0

If that ridiculous bill gets passed and lands on his desk, his veto would win him a second term.

Let's hope the stupid is strong in him.

Bloomberg's money is a strong incentive. As is the card from the Clintons bearing their condolences for his impending suicide...

I’ve been thinking the same thing. Nothing like the smell of burning Constitution wafting from down the street.

I think a much of the ‘middle of the road’ comes from denial. When Ralph started by proposing his actual goal, it’s much harder to hide the incrementalism.

Yes, exactly. Because a State has to maintain a military to protect itself from outside threats, the People have the right to keep arms to protect themselves when the State decides to use its military against them.

fyi, I showed early. Too damned cold to stand outside. The Town Hall(Gym) was at capacity with halls teeming some outside. Feel free to use these pics.
Need more of 'We will not Comply'. My 4th meeting or so down here. I was getting greeting from people I don't remember, and Philip Van Cleave came over said 'hi'. ;)
Made sure to get front row seat so the council had lots of time to gander at my shirt.
