Yes, it was an inertia puller. Halfway through, a friend reminded me of an old trick. If you push the bullet in, it breaks the seal and pops out pretty easily. That first can was a killer though. I broke two inertia pullers. What a mess!

Hornady has their cam-lock bullet puller, but I'm mildly curious about the device below. Given that I have a few crates of unopened 7.62x54R surplus, I might grab the standard rifle one. LOL!

The 7.62x54, and some other military surplus ammo, have sealant on the bullet to the neck of the case. If you are going to use the plier type tool, I still suggest that you seat the bullet back into the case in a seating die to break the seal or you will get worn out fast.
