current ATF wait time

It can be good for up to a year, which is what most folks set it for. Unfortunately it is not an eForm. You can put up to three items on one form and need two copies of each form you send in. It is really only needed for SBRs, SBSs, MGs, and DDs.

You are suppose to fill them out for each location you intend to travel to however I was told by BATFE person at NFA branch, that once it is filled out for a specific address in a state you can go other places in the same state with your items. Trying to get that in writing though.

I have some approved and returned in about 2-3 weeks and others take over 2 months to get back. Just curious if anyone has done any of these recently and what was their wait time.

A member here posted an approved 5320.20 with the address listed as anywhere in the state in addition to a specific address. It I believe it was an oversight and BATFE doesn't normally approve a form with that wording..

good luck getting BATFE to put that in writing.

I just called ATF for an update and was told they are working the first week of July currently.

My purchase date was 7/6/16 and is currently status pending.

I predicted previously that it would take a week to get through 1 day in July 2016.
I was incorrect, it is taking a MONTH.

NRA! why are you not pressuring Trump to get funding for the guys/gals doing the approvals!

Called the NFA branch this morning. Both were approved 4/25/17. Haven't heard from my SOT yet, but I just dropped him an email.

Suffice it to say that I'm excited.

Yep, just got the call. SBR tax stamp is back. I'm not near my records but it was purchased 7/5.

Now if the ATF can get around to that Specwar 556 they're holding for me I purchased the same week then that would be great.
