For any nubes, this is because that firing pin is floating and stuck cosmo can cause slam fires. not just initially but can happen down the road turning it from semi to full auto
What’s a good method of getting cosmoline out of the bore? It’s been heated and shot, cleaned with bore cleaner many times, but that stuff won’t come out!

Thanks for the brake cleaner advice. It worked like a charm. Just a few wet patches and it cleaned up nicely.
