    Hello all! I registered for the forum after reading the treasure trove of information on the site. I figure I need to ask a few questions now to gain more knowledge.

    I am new to shooting with a Glock 17 on order and a few revolvers I inherited recently.

    Also looking into possibly getting a "plinking" rifle like a Ruger 10/22. Love the available mods!

    Hi Fellow Jim!

    This place is so cool (thanks DD214 :)). Any question you can think of has probably already been asked and answered, so don't forget to try the search first.

    Don't worry though, (almost) everyone here are kind and forgiving! And very knowledgeable! :)

    There almost seems to be a specialist for everything around here, too. :D

    My Father (RIP) gave me my very first rifle...you guessed it, a Ruger 10/22, way back in the late 1970s! I'm looking at those drop-in M1 Carbine stock sets for the 10/22. Mighty cool looking! :thumbsup:

    And, we have gunsmiths (clandestine comes to mind :D) galore and lots of "Industry Partners" (gun shops and stuff) that may even offer a discount for us MDS members, in addition to their sage advice. :)

    So, look around, ask questions, post gun pictures, and enjoy yourself! :thumbsup:
