I don't think BPS recorded my info the last time I purchased powder (2 weeks ago).

Maybe that was a fluke? They did look at my ID for age verification, but didn't write anything down.

    1. Buy 5 lbs of powder.
    2. Go home and transfer powder into small brass containers with lead or jacketed caps/lids.
    3. Go buy 5 more pounds of powder and repeat.
    4. There's no limit to the number of brass containers that you're allowed to have.
    Now, wasn't that easy???

So, the words, "if stored in original shipping containers" can be ignored?

I've got my answer guys. Thanks!

Are you saying that the 5 lb limit applies to each and every loaded round of ammunition in your home also?

Brass container capped by lead = Ammunition.

You guys can parse this statute all you want. Parsing statutes is what I do for a living and I'm telling you, again, that I would not want to be standing next to Billy Murphy, my defense attorney, while he argues that the 10 pounds of power in my lockbox belong to my wife and son and should not be aggregated with the 5 pounds that I claim are mine.

I parse regulations for a living also.

The statute says PERSON. Not per building, premises, family, etc.

Now, if you your son is 5, maybe not.

Does your wife shoot? Mine did, and some of the powder WAS hers. Was not used in any caliber I shot.
