I’ll pay the tax, when I have to pay $200 to vote.

This...and when they get the criminals to turn in their "legally owned" firearms first.

I think the powers that be should go after the criminals before they make a new group of felons, then come after us and let the real bad guys continue on.

In the name of consistency, its good to give federal gun laws the same respect democrats give to federal drug and immigration laws.

****THIS. I'm amazed at how inconsistent many liberals are with respect to enforcing laws that have been on the books for decades, including drug and immigration laws. Eventually, the way things seem to be going, there will be even more selective enforcement and ignoring of other laws that they can't change in congress, but will simply stop or severely restrict enforcement at the State level.

I am not part of any problem, you need to remove your cranial inversion of the your glutinous maximus. Like talking to a wall geesh!

You absolutely are part of the problem. You are already talking about compromising with people that refuse to compromise. You want to placate people that are trying thier damndest to take our rights and usher in socialism.

The only one with thier head in thier ass is you. Your willing to continue letting them whittle away at our rights. Maybe you should apply for a Job at the ATF. I bet they would love you there

The definition of compromise is when each side is willing to give up something they have to get something they want...after negotiating they find common ground. Gun control is most certainly not compromise. We have our gun rights...the gun banners want them. Gun rights are their rights as well but they choose not to exercise them which they're free to do. What are they actually giving up when we agree to give up some of our rights? They're giving up nothing while we're the only ones actually giving up something. So when we give up something and they give up nothing they'll come back next year (if that long) and want us to "compromise" again.

The same old song and dance.

All lf y'all are looking at this wrong. When I get my forms for voluntary registration I'm putting negative 50 in each applicable column. That way the gubermint gives me 10k for each category.

Or sends me free stuff to make up the difference Fast & Furious style

And here is a thought on the Gov't implementing that "tax". All the AR lowers that have been sold have been sold as rifles or pistols. Not semi auto anything. So what exactly will the Gov't be chasing besides their own tail? I seriously do not think there is anything to worry about in this whole deal. Now just to be sure I need to get myself a boat.....

    Is your boat named "80%"?

What has no number must not exist.

I don't own any of those, but honestly, when are "We the People" going to start putting gun control and limits on these people that make these asinine laws. The politicians are the ones that need to be disarmed. Who enforces their crap? Oh, that's right, the same damn people they want to defund. Getting to point we are all going to have to choose sides. Either you are on the side of Patriotic, Freedom loving, Constitution believing Americans, or you are on the side of China and communists.

OK bone heads, I was providing a different slant on what I have seen and have been exposed to. I never said anything about banning guns, or opposing our 2A rights. As always the are people who cannot have a frank discussion, they read and respond to things that were never said or implicated. I know people are passionate about 2A but do not let your passion override good order, discipline and commonsense. We have had enough of that from the Demon-Crats over the past 4 years.

You're missing the point, sir. They WILL come for your hunting "implements" too. They do not care what your gun looks like, what you do with it, or how it functions. A gun in your hands, my hands, or anyone else that is not part of the "party" is a seen by THEM as a threat to their power. I CAN NOT make it any more clearer than that!
