I know I've seen several threads in the past on this topic but the last couple of days ABC 7 has been advertising their Ghost Gun coverage by ABC 7 reporter Nathan Baca. I finally viewed it tonight. I'll let you be the judge of the reporting but the thing that concerns me is this, another infringement on our rights. If we cant outright ban it, we legislate it. I like how he names 3-4 events that have happened and is using it to bolster his argument. Thou Shalt Not Commit Logical Fallacies. We call this no pun intended the Texas Sharpshooter, and a false cause. It is also anecdotal, belief bias, and in-group bias. What gets me is the below. Group Think.

Maryland state delegate Kathleen Dumais’ district (D-15th District).

"I think that next year we would look at that and I know I will personally. I have to admit, I hadn’t really heard of ghost guns,” said Del. Dumais.

Older Video from CBS that's interesting as well. Listen to the arguments.

Since it's not a gun until it's completed, they have no recourse.

Sure, they can ban completing them, I suppose. Good luck with that. I decided years ago that laws like that weren't applicable to me anyway, so it won't affect me.

So, they make it so we have to be a licensed manufacturer to build our own guns... Always wanted to be a FFL07 with SOT... That just might make Del. Dumais' head spin...

There is no way to put the genie back into the bottle.

Maryland student Alwin Chen was arrested bringing in a home-built gun to his campus at Clarksburg High School.

I knew right away, Black powder Dumais would perk up with that news..

So you ban 80% lowers. So how do you enforce it??? It is not a gun at 80% it is not traceable from 80% to 100%. So if they banned them tomorrow how would they know I had them before tomorrow or not. I could buy 100 80% build them to 100% and they would not be able to prove anything unless I paid I by CC.

More gun control just drives guns more underground where there is even less control than before. In that respect, gun control is self-defeating.
