I live in MD and have a W&C permit. I want to get a CC permit that includes VA and NC, plus WV and PA. Should I get a nonresident permit for VA or Utah? What are the main differences, pros and cons?

The drawback to Virginia is currently a six month backlog .

Utah is a fine option , also includes Delaware , very inexpensive renewals .

Not mentioned is New Hampshire . Not as many states out West , but good coverage east of the Mississippi . Very fast issuance , for me was back within a week .

Added - Moe , the OP and the instructor of this class is good , and on the short list of those I personally recommend .

VA non resident is only taking about 7 weeks now. The backlog seems to have cleared.

    Here is a useful map:

WV is constitutional carry, no permit needed.

MD W&C will get you PA NR permit.

I would consider FL NR permit.

I've been waiting over 3 months for my Virginia permit renewal.

    You should call.

    ETA:
There is a really good app called CCW that you can input all you permits and see where you are valid. You can change the permits you and and see the diffs on the map. Green is good, red is bad. It is an Apple app, don't know about Android...
I have FL, VA, MH. The only thing Utah would add for me is WA. But since the company I work for is based in Utah, I may get it.
