I did have to take the pic rail off on top b/c it was too high to see the bead front sight. Looking at other options. One bad thing about the brace, is that you have to disassemble it if you want to clean it to get the trigger housing out.
Thanks! Good to know about not having to take it off for evry cleaning.

Good Lord, unless you are shooting a ton, I would never take that trigger assembly out for cleaning. I've shot thousands of rounds through my SBE in way less than optimal conditions, and the only reason I had to take the trigger assembly out is because a piece of shot came out of a reload (i.e., not fully crimped) and it fell into a spot that turned the gun into a single shot.
I just cannot imagine that trigger assembly getting that dirty from the amount you will shoot that gun.
Also, if the bore is chrome lined, which might not be the case with that gun, then you will hardly even need to clean it. I cannot remember the last time I actually took a copper brush to one of my shotguns. Maybe once a year when I was shooting 1,000s of rounds at clays.
Let me leave this by saying, that is a nice looking setup.
Thank you for the information ... I had a Mossberg 590A1 for a longtime ... maybe 12yrs, but only shot it handful of times in the first couple of years (was my main home defense shotgun). So I can not remember the specifics of how I cleaned it before and how much. I don't think the shockwave is chromelined, but I also have a 12G boresnake that I use for the shotguns. Appreciate all the advice from everyone. Thanks!
The first thing I’m buying when prices normalize is a 20” 590A1. I actually have a 14” 590A1 but I want the bayonet adapter. Love my ARs but nothing says “you have entered the wrong house” like a shotgun with bayonet.
Thanks! I just sold my Mossberg 590A1 ... it was too long and heavy. This is the perfect size and no stamp, perfectly legal. Although, I had to buy w HQL and wait 7 days (like a handgun). Totally worth it!
