    I was looking at the load data on Hodgdon's website for their new pistol powder CFE Pistol. I have attached the spreadsheet for the 185 grain 45acp load. As you can see their new powder adds significant velocity. Nearly 100 ft./s faster than longshot. And as we all know longshot is a slow powder.

    I sent them an e-mail to get more information but was wondering if anyone here had any info regarding this new powder.

    One would "assume" it is as slow or slower than Longshot. It also must be very smooth pressure-wise for them to take it to such a high pressure loading.

    Hodgdon have the powders listed on their reloading site according to burn rate and they have CFE Pistol one notch above Autocomp and well below Longshot which tops the list. FYI, the list I included was reordered by FPS.
