Just picked up my Rugged Obsidian 45 today. The only 45 host that I currently have is a Sig 1911 TacOps. How do the 1911's run suppressed? I was gonna pick up a Sig 1911 threaded barrel, but if 1911's are a bad suppressor host id probably just skip the barrel and pick up a new host.

    Thanks

From what I've seen, the Remington 1911 tactical or whatever runs more reliably than a Glock 21 suppressed. The 1911 runs flawlessly with factory ball ammo while the Glock 21 would sometimes fail to go into battery.

I have had no problems running a can on my Sig 1911. My only complaint is it felt a little front heavy on the 1911. My P220 balances a little better with my Silencerco Octane and it spends most of its time on this gun.

That was a common complaint I saw, while some stated the extra weight would cause cycling issues because the 1911 is "finnicky" as they said

I'll let you know soon, just picked up my SilencerCo Osprey.

I have several different types to try out on, SA Inc. Range Officer, Sig GSR, some High Standard POS I picked up in trade or just for giggles, my US&S 1911A1

Mine runs great. I keep it lubed like a 1911 should be and it runs fine on freedom munitions or any other ammo I have put through it. It is a little louder than 9mm.

I had that problem a few times with my Glock 21SF. All I did was make sure I kept the piston lubed real good on the booster and it was never a problem again.
