Ruger SR1911 10mm

This was on the cover of American Handgunner and I'm falling in love.

I currently own two Ruger revolvers, a GP100 in .357 Magnum and a Redhawk in .44 Magnum. Both are gorgeous, reliable, well made shooters. The Ruger brand has me hooked, great customer service. The SR1911 looks amazing. I don't have any experience with a 10mm, anyone seen this article or have info on the pistol?

I say go for it. The 10mm is a great round. I have two Colt Delta Elites and they're each outstanding pistols but Ruger's customer service may well be the best in the industry. Hopefully you'll never need it but they're very consumer oriented.

A non 45 acp 1911 pistol frame,i personally think its retarded! Same with Aks shooting 5.56 and ARs shooting 7.62

I will let the secret out of the bag, I just bought a SR1911 in .45 acp and a Ruger SR22 in bronze. They will be my only non Glock semi autos and will join a few Ruger revolvers in the safe.

I figured I finally needed a 1911.

I love my SR1911. Made a few cosmetic changes to it to suit my taste. I may need to look at a 10mm now.

Really? That seems like too much gun for the caliber. Why not a GP100?

This was on the list for the last handgun roster meeting on Nov.1. It should be good to go by the end of December....

I have been toying building a 9mm Commander except on the Officers frame. Once I get a slide and frame at a doable at a doable price...

10mm is generally less powerful and less expensive than .44Mag.

I’d rather have a .44Mag in a revolver.

I can shoot 40 S&W out of that 10mm revolver. And that's a LOT cheaper to shoot than 44 Mag or Special. And getting the cylinder bored to 10mm Magnum, I can shoot all three.

I really liked the SR1911 in 10mm. Wasn't snappy at all as I was expecting.

I am biased, however.
