Anyone here ever facilitate, oversee, participate or tell me first hand about this program?

Some friends have expressed interest in this type training for their kids.... to me.

We have done this a couple of times using the NRA DVD. What families did it like it but could never get a lot of response. Tried to get into the school system with NO success.

I ran about 20 or so kids through the program when i was a cub scout leader, its a great program.

We worked with Frederick County Sheriff’s office. They had all of the material and the mascot and it made for a great experience. Call your local PD and see if they are set up to administer the program

Got it for my daughter when she was old enough to understand it. She watched it over & over & still repeats the mantra (she's 24 & works in a daycare). I wish the schools had the stones to include it.

    I will contact local PDs.

Thanks guys. Would think this program would be more popular in our own community.

    HuffPo ...

Just like the "Guns Save Lives" program, proving it with stats takes a John Lott, otherwise the Paul Helmke(s) of the world point to senseless deaths of kids whose parents are accountable, not an NRA cartoon character in a gun safety comic book.

The NRA as recently as Nov 4th countered Helmke's 2011 drivel ...

NRA’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program Reaches 30 Million Children!
With the help of volunteers, educators, and law enforcement officers, Eddie Eagle’s gun safety message has been shared across all 50 states!
(But, good luck in the PRofMD where Helmke clones, like Daniel Webster, wring their hands to the benefit of leftist legislators and school boards alike)

I've also used it with Cub Scouts when my son was that age, and both kids watched the various vids at home. They still remember "Stop. Don't touch. Leave the area, tell an adult". The "videos" are now on YouTube, so it'd be easy, and worthwhile.
