Has anyone here picked up any of the commission 88 German rifles/carbines that hunters lodge has been advertising? They are going for just under $100 for the rifle and about $110 for the carbine if I remember right. They are advertised as project guns with broken/missing parts

Hunter’ Lodge has a lot of interesting stuff I’d be tempted to buy, but everything I’ve read about them online makes me too leery to risk ordering from them.

For you young collectors, AFAICR, Hunters Lodge came about after they changed their name due to many complaints at that company (sorry, I forget the name). Someone on the original Gunboards forum would know (http://forums.gunboards.com/forumdisplay.php?3-The-Collector-s-Forum-Mosin-Nagant-HQ).

In my opinion, they are still a suspect company as you have a slight chance of getting what you think you are going to get. :sad20:
