It came out of Georgetown airport, the owner said he was going to strip it out and re assemble for a display. They were hauling it to Grasonville for the work. Not alot of room in the cockpit, but built pretty stout. My old man told me if I remember correctly they would out turn the f86 but once they figured them out they shredded them but they could take some hits.

Bump. I saw that the fire engine restoration place in Gransonville moved to a big new facility nearby. The old place is full of an odd mix of aircraft parts, pieces of amusement rides and full scale superhero figures. Is this where in Mig is going?

As for the Mig 15 vs F86, the Mig 15 had superior speed, climb and turn over the F86, BUT the advantage swung to the 86 once it was realized the Mig couldn't hold turns as well or as long as the 86 due to the fact that allied pilots wore g-suits and the Norks/Chicoms did not.
