I do have the actual estimate. Since I don't know if the contractor truly was the victim of a state and postal duck up, or if he is being less than forthright, seeing as how he is a firefighter and someone I've worked with, I don't want to put the company name out but I'll email the estimate to anyone who is considering taking the job.

Actually states 7/16 plywood. Probably a little light unless OSB.
15/32, but I just call it 1/2”. Still not gonna be 10 bucks a sheet.
Unfortunately I can’t match that price.

Why not have a roofing party one day? Buy all the materials, sodas, bottled water, and food. People come over and help you put a new roof up.

Probably why some (most?) of the bids are extremely high
I know a few guys like that, bid on every job but raise the price on ones they don't have interest in.

Greg, I helped my neighbor replace my shed roof (including replacing some of the plywood, not just paper and shingles, etc), and I'm sure we could get an MDS party up to help you.
Let me know, and a thread can be started.

I have little doubt MDS could easily knock this out for materials cost.
The bid states 7/16 but I agree with the cost.

What’s the pitch on that roof? Looking at the pictures it doesn’t look steep enough for shingles.
