i have to admit i've been away too long. it was a great day at the range, the range officers were friendly and very helpful.
i also got to see Jack, one of the older range officers i knew many years ago when i was a member. I shot and had lots of fun, used up lots of ammo, but i didnt care.:D
all in all a great day.:)

    life was good today.

no thanks. last time I stopped in there. I was told my ak was a weapon of mass destruction and my Henry 44 would explode and kill everyone...that and when changing lanes when my rifle with action open and pointed at the ground that it could ricochet and hit someone in the head. nope never again.

    You could have texted me.............

I took Mom out for the first time and she ended up blasting about 300 rounds downrange.

I've never seen anyone have problems shooting their AK's and AR's at Hap Baker. In fact I've seen days when AK's and AR's were the majority of firearms on the line.

New RSO? I've been scolded on pointing my muzzle at the ground with action open and magwell empty before, but it does clearly say in their range rules that you carry firearms with muzzle up. Didn't yell at me (other than to be heard over 9 other people firing rifles).

Mostly I get the occasional friendly reminder for things like not leaving the action open. Never seen anyone get chewed out for anything, usually just a friendly chat or reminder on something.
