CMP Delivers

This week I received my 1943 Springfield M1 Garand from the CMP. It has a 1955 barrel that is like new and a new walnut stock. All this for $730 delivered to my door! I'm not real enthusiastic about the new stock, I would have preferred the original, with all of its dents and dings. Photos added!

Congrats! And I second the pictures motion! Nothing like getting a rifle in the mail and not knowing what surprises you may get from the CMP!

Awesome! I got one from CMP back in January.
Mine also came with a new stock, I took it apart and put (several) coats of pure ting oil on it.

What I'm seeing it says 2 55 so it would be a 1955 barrel and not a 65 barrel?
