The L.W.R.C.I. SMG-45

Been getting a lot of questions about our new SMG-45 so I figured I would dedicate a thread to clearing the air and providing some information.

Versions will be available in 3 calibers: .45 acp, .9mm, and .40 S&W. Production timing will likely progress in that order. The SMG-45 takes HK UMP magazines. We will be sourcing our own magazines for this to bring down the cost of them.

Caliber conversions will eventually be available and will consist of; a barrel, bolt, and a magazine.

We are looking at offering the following flavors:
-Pistol
-Pistol w/ stabilizing brace
-Factory SBR w/ folding stock
-Factory SBR with mil-spec buffer tube
-16" carbine version with folding stock

We will offer all of the stocks and endplates as accessories.

We should also have several variants at the NRA show in May!

SHOT SHOW VIDEOS:

We are NOT taking pre-orders but I will try to keep everyone updated on this as time goes on. I was last updated that these will be available in the fall; not in the summer!

Will the standard SBR version (or Pistol converted SBR) exceed the OAL of 29" for Maryland compliance? Or will it require some additional mods to meet the length? Can we also assume the barrel will be threaded?

I believe we will have a compliant version. I'm not 100% sure on the threaded barrel.

If you make a 9mm over 29" that is threaded, 100% in on one.

What's the mechanism. Blowback?

I would like a 357 SIG that can be loaded to 10mm OAL. Basically, a 357 SIG that uses 10 mm Magazines. I believe there is a 10mm version of the H&K, so maybe it's doable. More room for powder, plus you can use common 115 gr 9x19 bullets. Gets you pretty close to 9x25 Dillon with common brass, dies, and bullets. Not that much more to load than 9x19.
