When my daughter was into cowboy stuff for a while, I thought this would be a cute first handgun... for me too...

Just got the photos of my new holster for the Ruger GP100. Now I'll be able to carry it around my yard in style. I just wanted a nice holster for a really nice pistol.

Made for me by Larry Sullivan of Pflugerville, TX. The same guy the made my cowboy rig.

very nice that's my next purchase lever 357. How do you like the tube fed?
The 16-inch Henry lever carbine is very robust and runs like a champ. This one is as accurate as my Winchester 1892 (also in 357) at 50 yards using iron sights - hitting a baseball sized target is no problem. It's a ruggedly built gun that wouldn't be out of place in a truck rack, but yes, there is a delay in loading because it's tube fed (once you get going, it's faster than pushing rounds in through a side gate, but one still needs to pull out and push back in that plunger).

I’m dying to shoot with you and Zman again. You both have awesome taste in guns!

Thanks, buddy. That would be fun. :) You have a fantastic revolver collection too.

In fact, after shooting yours, I started buying my first Colt centerfire revolvers, and I think Zzzzz_man got the bug too (even if he might have owned some Colts in the past), as he went on a more serious Colt revolver acquisition effort.
