What's the diff between the GTX Canteen Uni boot and the Hot Uni boot?

Danners are not all made equally.

The USA crafted boots are rebuildable and made to last a lifetime.

Others are overseas products and may not be rebuildable.

True. Ihave the Ft Lewis Danners and Acadias, both well built and have lasted forever. The pair of Troopers I have, are still good boots, but not nearly as good.

It seems the main difference (maybe only difference) is the GTX is goretex lined and the Hot is not goretex lined.

Some Danners are rebuildable, but have you ever seen the prices they get to redo them? If the boots need anything more than a basic resole, the prices start escalating towards the absurd pretty quickly.

This! Make sure you look to see if they "Made in the USA!" If so, great boots!

Last year they ran a 50% off sale. Hope they run it again.

I got issued a pair of Danner RAT boots before I went to Afghanistan, they were heavy but well made. I didn't realize how expensive they were until I saw this thread and looked them up.
