Wait till gym ratz moves by you and get one from John, or have him order you one and make the drive if you don’t wanna wait. He gets them if fairly often.

Its not finding one thats the problem, my preferred local shop has had them for 50 dollars cheaper but i have about $600 in gift cards to cabelas/bass pro. I'm saving every dime for a house so my gun money right now is gift cards and points. I wish I could cash them out. They are doing everything in their power to not make a sale.

I doubt you could manage it in 44mag without a redesign. The recoil spring and bolt weight to support 44mag pressures and muzzle energy would be atrocious. 10mm is maybe as hot as you can get in a blowback rifle before having to make serious compromises.

I did send an inquiry to Ruger from their website about the possibility of a PC10 and they did reply that mine wasn't the first request for it.

That would be cool. TBH, I think I'd be more interested in a PCC45.

Granted, I don't have EITHER caliber right now. Or, well I have a box of 45acp just because the Winchester Victory stuff looks pretty and I do plan to SOME day own a 1911 in 45acp (probably one in 10mm also).

Anyway, a PCC in 45acp shooting 230gr +P with a silencer seems like an awesome combination.

If Hi-Point can manage a 10mm, Ruger can. Just depends on how many they think they'd sell.

My guess is they wanted to see how well the PCC in 9mm would do and try to figure out what the sales might be like in other calibers before they took the plunge on machine tools and engineering. And hell, some of it could be that the PCC9 has taken off like a rocket and they are waiting for sales to die down before starting a line doing other calibers rather than possibly expanding capacity for a smaller number of sales or something. Makes good business sense. One in not 9mm probably does take a bit more work and less interchangeability. New bolt head, possibly a new bolt body. Different springs, different barrel, different bolt weight(s). For 45 and 10 you need a different magazine well. And you probably want to put a fair amount of testing time in to it to make sure you can go 10,000 rounds or whatever out of a few T&E/Engineering models without problems showing up.

The ruger has a removable bolt face and tungsten weight. This is by design and my guess is the there might be conversion kits that allow a caliber change.

The guy from bass pro called me back, he confirmed what he said before, they can order the threaded version but The only way to do it is to come into the store to place the order. Thats what he told me before and thats what I did on monday (2 hour round trip to get there) and when i got there the fools behind the counter said they can't order it and I have to talk to the order guy. He said to ask for one of their firearms specialists and they should be able to do it but i'm 99% sure if I drive down there again the guys still won't know anything and they'll tell me I have to call that guy again, who will again say "yes, come into the store to order it".

Anyone want to buy some Cabela's/Bass Pro gift cards for a 10% discount?

Did you go to the bass pro in Arundel Mills or Harrisburg, PA?

Update on this, the guy at Bass Pro Arundel Mills who does the firearms ordering, Nathan, just called me back. He said he was able to find the threaded version carbine with the 10rd mag that they will sell and argued with the management to let him order it for me since he told me previously that they could order it if i came in and then when I did they turned me away. He also said they will be doing some more training with their counter staff to prevent things like this from happening again.

I really didn't expect them to do anything for me at all and i was dreading driving down there again for another attempt. Now i can use up all my gift cards.

PSA has these for $449 & free shipping. Model 19100 is the threaded version with 17 rd mag.

No idea if they'll ship that to MD or not. I figure my dealer can keep or throw out the mags it comes with since I'd convert it to Glock mags anyway.

Have it transferred to Blue Fins, they had no issue with taking the Ruger mag. I wanted to do just Glock so was fine. FFLs know the rules and PSA should just trust the FFL.

I was thinking about getting one before were are required to get a license, but I am not 100% confident in the rifle so I may look for a Beretta CX4 Storm instead.

Why did they not want to special order it? Because it's threaded?

They do other special orders.. even offered to order a wood stock on a gun for me where they only had synthetic in stock once upon a time.

Considering the plastic internals of the Beretta, I would probably take the PC. Also, sooner or later Ruger will come out with a wood stock, and then you can make it look like a hunting rifle (which as we all know is the only kind of rifle protected by the second amendment ;-) )
