I read entire thread and no one mentions the m777?
It might sound cruel but I'd set out containers of anti-freeze for them to drink. I had an Uncle who de-pigeoned his barn this way. Death by liver/kidney failure should happen in short order.

Then it would stink and rot in a hard to find location.
Eventually when it is found, and try to retrieve it. The bird breaks apart oozing everywhere from decomposition, and smelling more.
Not the best schenario for a grocery store...

Did anyone ever think of talking to the birds to change their behavior? Talking is better than shooting them.
