If you buy a 50+ year old rifle using your C&R license, are you required to enter that in your bound book?

even if you don't "use" your FFL-03 to buy it (e.g. a MD face-to-face for long gun, or purchase from an FFL-01 for handgun, for examples) you still need to enter it.
Any C&R firearm acquired while your license is active, in any fashion, needs to be entered into the book.

Some sort of ID. They'll want to know where you got it.
Also, if you have a C&R firearm in your collection from before you were licensed, you do NOT have to enter it in the book unless and until you sell it - assuming you're still licensed at the time of sale.

If they are an FFL, yes. Otherwise name and address good enough.

BTW, once your license expires, you are no longer required to retain your bound book. FFL01 licensees are required to send theirs to BATFE; FFL03 (C&R) licensees are not.
If you choose eventually to re-apply for a C&R, you start with a clean slate, a new license number and a new bound book.
