Looking to pick up a .45 suppressor host. I’m leaning towards a Glock 21 Gen 3 SF or Gen 4. The Gen 3 is available with factory threaded barrel and suppressor height sites, but is in an odd M16x1LH thread pitch. Total for both pistol and new booster for my Tirant 45 is $625. Other option is pick up a lightly used Gen 4, put a factory Gen 4 barrel with .578 thread pitch, and replace the sights with suppressor sights. This would run around $650. This option also allows me to use any sights I want. Basically Gen 3 I’ll end up with an extra piston, and Gen 4 I’ll end up with better suppressor sights. Am I missing something? What do you guys think?
