What pressure and heat are you talking about? I'll give you some folks could be afraid of the recoil, but you're not locking the lower in a vice. The lower recoils right along with the upper. The entire rifle moves as one unit.

Same way I account for the 40 year old revolver I just picked up that is spanking new? Light use.

So, do you think that Stat Arms, Serbu, Ferret and loads of other manufacturers would be willing to put out a product that informed users would be afraid to own?

That's the great thing about the AR platform. They can be a muzzle loader (Trident Tactical Smoke Pole http://tridentarmory.com/index.php?route=information/information&information_id=9), a shotgun (ATI Omni 410 https://www.americantactical.us/5512/detail.html), pistol, bolt action rifle, pump action rifle (Troy Pump action rifle https://worldoftroy.com/product/troy-pump-action-rifle-national/), semi-auto rifle, or a full auto if licensed. They can be any kind of firearm. Which goes to show that when people try to ban them, they are good with banning all firearms.
