One of the recent gun reviews i subscribe to tested a revolver. The carriage screw ( the screw that allows you to remove the cylinder) backed out and he lost it but was able to shoot the gun. he said not so uncommon for that to happen on any gun. He wrote to Taurus warranty for a replacement part and a spring that was lost and was told 2 months as parts are made in brazil. This is what the ceo is addressing.

I got one of them Beretta clones... had it about 25 years. Not a hiccup out of it

Had one of their 44 mags... sold it for no reason other than bein pricey to feed. Still got a 689

Yeah I bought mine somewhere around 1990. Ran flawlessly. I think their QC was much better back then

Only ever had two handguns from them. One was a PT-99 Beretta clone. Great gun, never an issue with it. Ended up selling it, wish I hadn’t.
Have a model 82 which was an LE surplus. Need to get a new cylinder because the pawls are worn so it doesn’t cycle properly.

friend had one in the 80's due to issues with Beretta slide. He said the 99 did no have that issue. I shot it many times and enjoyed shooting it.

I never bought one due to their bad rep. It will take a long time to turn that perception.
