    Sigh.

The NRA is playing right into the Antis hands.

Given: most pro-2a people are fiscal conservatives, with little tolerance for financial waste.

Given: WLP, being the president of a wealthy, powerful lobby, probably believes that he deserves the finer things in life.

I don't agree with WLPs decisions. He is well paid and cared for. He has plenty of money and can fly commercial. He is taking advantage of the donations of millions of gun owners. That said, some tactician in the anti-2a camp has (correctly) predicted that to destabilize the NRA, and in doing so reduce their lobbying power, they must simply make known the actions of WLP.

Of course WLP will fight tooth and nail any attempt to de-throne him, any of us would. He has it good. And in doing so, he will bring the NRA down around him. Because, WLP is no Heston, or Selleck. He is not a believer, this is just business.

The hilarious thing is that the damage is already done. Even if WLP gets voted out of office, the resulting destabilization of the NRA will be enough to allow the Antis to pass the next AWB, expanded NFA, or other legislation to take more of our already diminished rights away, before whomever takes his place can solidify his position.

    Well played, Antis. Well played

google is your friend, I am not.
Even if he did nothing wrong, the reputational risk to the NRA of this drip-drip-drip of damaging stories needs to end. The BoD should remove his simply because WLP is a distraction to the mission. WLP is not going to be around much longer either way, he is nearing retirement. How long does he have, maybe 3 years at the outside before retirement?

At this point it does not matter what people think of the allegations, he needs to go.

He has plenty of money and can fly commercial.

I doubt that, any more than Taylor Swift has plenty of money and can fly commercial. The moment he's spotted at an airport, the SJW mob would descend upon him.

Regardless, the antis will use this against him (and us.)

Guilty in the court of public opinion until proven innocent and if so proven, there is no one willing to report the innocence. My Alinsky/Goebbels meter is starting to register pings.

I'd sack him posthaste. WLP is like a lot of politicians...he's held office so long he thinks it is his by right.
