As long as the serial numbers are not removed it shouldn't be a crime, that's stupid!

Here is another stupid one...in NYC airports...when declaring firearms...even if the ammo is in a separate container but in the same luggage the firearm is considered "loaded". yep...loaded.

If Law Enforcement in SOME areas of the country cant identify a serial # it can lead to problems. Covering a SN with an accessory, paint, or even having an old firearm with no SN will cause a person to miss an appointment or 2.

Stupid 80% completed guns come to mind.

Anyone notice the caption under the photo?
"The rifle painted purple was considered to be illegally defaced. The black shotgun is legal to possess."

Hi-Point mag fed shotgun? I'm in!

That AK looks like an 8 year-old Ravens fan got to it.

Is that "AK" real ? I see no separation for the cover nor button to release it , No trigger guard . Just does not look right .

AR has no buffer tube or stock and it looks like unless I need new drug store glasses that the mag well isn't even open .

"Luckily no one got hurt" according to the Port Authority spokesman.

    By what? Paint chips?

Does he think that the guy who is facing illegal firearms charges is not going to get "hurt?"

It's either an odd ass home build or a 22 version would be my guess.

No TG and look how oddly close the trigger is to the PG, no mag dimples and no milling squares. That's one odd ass gun!!!

This one may make some case law... not clear from the report if the serno was not legible of if NY law has just assert ed that it can not be painted.

Absolutely correct. Pays to know the laws of the states through which one is passing. OR, as has been suggested many, many times, just stay away from certain states.

    Saw that... :lol2:

I don't know what's worse getting in trouble or my friends knowing I owned that purple thing?
