I'm running out of words...

But not really, so read on....

So Dan puts together a great AR package for me a few months ago and I finally get out with it a couple times in the last few weeks and started having some issues. Now I am completely new to semi's, so I assume it is user error and play it safe and call Dan. Well, Dan asks me to bring it in so he can take a look. Apparently to Dan "taking a look" means completely breaking down the gun, cleaning everything and teaching me step by step as he does it. Making fun of me for bending the charging handle (yes, I'm that guy), and he gives me a full on tune up and even upgraded a couple springs and replaced my charging handle.

Now, I know I pump up GC and everyone that works there, but this is a DAMN good example of why to spend you $$ local. I purchased a product, had an issue with said product (actually caused by me perhaps), and the merchant takes over an hour of his day to not only rectify the issue on the spot and teach me how to avoid it in the future, but he didn't charge me a dime

I just wanted to thank Dan and GC out loud for something most people (self included) would consider above and beyond, but Dan is making his exemplary service the norm and thats just outstanding...bravo Dan.

Kudo's to GC, and it's great to be able to shop and support my hobby at a place where service and and hand shake still mean something.

Ditto that. I was an online only buyer for years. I only buy from them now. For one...the prices are pretty damn close if not better than what you find online. Add to that the great customer experience and support you get from buying local and it just doesnt make any sense to go anywhere else.

Bent the charging handle?

To borrow a phrase from mercop, were you trying to fast rope off the space shuttle, whacking tangos?

I didn't even know I did it...I definitely spent a little too much time pulling my charging handle I guess...

I was in there the same time as you. I was signing my life away to transfer my 2 new Spike's lowers.

What were the other problems you were having? Have you fired a lot of rounds through it or was there any issues with the type/brand of rounds you were using?

Ah yes, you were standing to our right, nice to meet you. It seems the main culprit was a faulty ejector spring and it had some help from a dirty gas tube and bolt. It was not ejecting properly at all, and I suppose either I, or one of the guys assisting me in clearing a jam also managed to bend the hell out of the charging handle Lesson learned I suppose, and Dan was kind enough to replace the spring and charging handle...he is THE MAN
