It works, but get backup iron sights. Use the irons for coarse acquisition, the RDS for fine. And spend the money on a good RDS. I personally also favor milling the slide specifically for that RDS, not using an adapter plate. This will lower the RDS and create a more compact package.

Slide is milled and has an rmr and trigicon suppressor height sits. Works well
