I hate people like this guy , but him losing his job is of no real value . I realize he deserves the hand he is dealt , now i hope he will look at his life and see where he needs to focus .

The problem is that he returned the table because he was caught, not because he had a change of heart.

Re: "I hope he will look at his life...". Once a guy has become a thieving POS, well, I don't expect them to change much.

I agree that he shouldn't lose his job. That's why we have a justice system. I'm a little tired of seeing every so-called infraction turned into a lynching by an outraged mob. Since he brought the table and benches back, I assume there would be no arrest.

    There may be an explanation.

I'd like to hear that tale. What excuse could he give for pulling up to a road side stand, seeing no one around, picking up a picnic table and benches and driving off without paying?

Come on now, some times a cigar is just a cigar.

    I'll bet you're right:
Needed a table, didn't want to exceed his budget, didn't care about consideration, property rights or law.

I know, he was confused. He thought Hillary won the election and we're now a socialist country. So if you need something, just go ahead and take it. After all, what's yours is yours AND mine.

Maybe the thief doesn't work for the company whose shirt he was wearing. But if he does (did) it's up to them to decide whether his actions warrant dismissal. If the company has high moral and service standards, the outcome might be different than if they were shady (for lack of a better term).

Actions have consequences, and whatever the outcome, the thief has earned them.

    Why would you say that?

You could be right , i certainly am not a fan of his or making excuses for him

This is my point , i hate these people too .

And as ED has pointed out he did bring this upon his self , nobody else to blame .

And if he stole from me i would take it as far as needed . And have had people arrested in the past with no remorse .

Whether or not he would lose his job should be up to Cove Electric. If there's an explanation, let him explain it. But according to the person that owned the table, he took it without permission, and for that, he should be called out and asked to explain, at the very least.

For those who think he should not lose his job!

Call up Cove electric, have this guy come to your house with all your belonging(that you paid for) to do work!

Damn I think I might have to post something in the Un popular thread.

This thinking is crazy! Have I stumbled upon the MDS for libs site.

I don't think i am any liberal by any means , i am merely saying the guy should be punished and he brought this on himself . HRDWK look at the post(s)

I am not defending this POS guy , i would try to press the law to handle him maybe they could chop of his arms or legs . But as a Christian i can forgive . Please lets not call people names and insult .

I'd imagine that most companies wouldn't be thrilled to have a thief working for them

I don't care if he returned the table or not. The act of theft occurred and he should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It's up to his employer if they fire him but they should know. If he's willing to walk off with a picnic table, imagine what's missing from the homes he been in? I'm almost positive, this guy was pure as driven snow and then pulled up to a road side stand and say, hey, that table looks nice, I think I'll take it.

Since he returned the table, maybe he should be charged with kidnapping? j/k

I emailed Cove Electric, asking if this was one of their employees.

I included pics of the perp, and the Facebook post.

Got a fairly quick reply that it is not one of their employees.

    At least, not anymore. :innocent0

j/k I suggested a few posts back that he might not have been one of their employees. Anybody can wear a company's shirt.

I won't lose no sleep over that guy , he brought everything down on him . Not none of us , but i ask what punishment would be good enough to satisfy the masses .

I am okay with the public square , and tomato throwing . Are others good with a hanging , or burn him out of his house , maybe he could build picnic tables for the homeless or prison systems . Let's get real .

Having both owned and operated electrical contracting companies in my career, I would want to know if I had a thief in my employ. When sending technicians into business or home of a customer, they expect that person to be honest and trustworthy. Thieves are neither and although it is Christian to forgive, it is not something a business owner should overlook. Thieves also steal from their employers!

Islamic Law states that a thief should have his hands amputated as a deterrent for his crime.

    I'm just saying............
