    I won't be shooting match grade ammo. I guess no downside to getting the M118 version though. Price is close between the two. First AR-10 so just accumulating the various parts I'll need.

    I'd go with the longer version, as you said not much different and better to have and not need than the other way around.

    Now I’m going to have one of those dreams where someone breaks into my house and my ammo won’t fit in the magazine. Ugh.
