High Standard Target Pistol

Anyone interested in a High Standard Supermatic Trophy Military .22 target pistol, 107 Series? The pistol has a 5.5" heavy barrel and was made in 1974. New In Box condition.

I saw it at Gunrunners in Frederick MD - beautiful pistol.

Surprised to see the market so soft on these. Lots of older HS available on GB in the 600 range, even Hampden made Victors.

Yep. I have a feeling that they're going to go up again though. Simpson LTD is usually in the 4-700 range on good condition HSs right now. Once the younger 03FFL guys get over their bolt-action obsession, Hi-Standards and Colt Woodsmans will become one of the next obsessions.

I was thrilled to get a S&W M41 as a C&R last year. Sixty years old, 99% condition, and a tack driver. Came with the 7" barrel and muzzle brake; I picked up a 5.5" barrel off ebay(!) for 200 bucks.

Maybe, but I'll never sell. Best 22 autos ever made imho.

I remember cutting my handgun shooting in bullseye in the early 80’s. It seemed well over 50% of the shooters used High Standards in verying stages of enhancement. Many years after I stopped shooting the game I acquired a Clark full house 107. You can tell what it was built to do - it is a thoroughbred which really comes alive in timed and rapid fire.

I have a HS pistol that was associated with the US shooting team in the early 50's. It was bequeathed to me quite a long time ago by a family member. I'm by no means a pistol shot but with select ammo its stupid accurate. I have to shoot it from a rested position to really appreciate it and the magazine/feed is very finicky. Very seldom do I shoot it anymore once I found out the history behind it.
I should get it out and try it some more to get better with it.
