Hey - how do you like that Sparc?

I was thinking about picking one up for my SBR, but I want something that's very light and very fast.

    I like it a lot.

I'd go for it. It's perfect for pistols and SBRs. Very light and great periferal vision.

Wait a minute, how have I never seen one of those lowers before???

What's the details on the lower, and the whole gun?

The lowers were a one-off run Engage did a year or so ago. They took a lot longer than expected so for that and other reasons, I don't think they will run them again(not trying to speak for Engage here though).
    As for the rest...

Short pistol buffer tube with a KAK blade
    Law Tactical folder
Tubb's flat wire spring(for AR10) and KAK configurable buffer with all three tungsten weights
RRA 9mm(ramped) bolt with RRA hammer
    B5 syst pistol grip
    Strike Industries LPK
Cheapo handguard which will be upgraded eventually
    ADCO 5" Barrel with 13.5x1 LH thread(Euro)
    Surefire Ryder 9Ti suppressor
    Vortex SPARC AR red dot
    Magpul BUS

That about does it, I guess.

Nice Outrider. I wasn't sure if it was a Law folder, so I guess no shooting with folded stock. A 9mm AR pistol is on the long list. That SB Tactical pew brace is perfect. I'm kinda holding out for Polymer 80 to make an AR lower that takes Grock mags. I figure that's on their list of ideas since they can merge their P40 and G150 lowers.

They came back in stock at PSA today with a discount code for $140, so I ordered one. The discount was originally supposed to expire yesterday, but their website let me use it.

I think this is going to go on my .300 BLK SBR.

    Like Father, like ... Daughter

My daughter is out in Vegas this week for a Veterinary Conference. She asked me before leaving for a recommendation on something 'fun' to do. I could have said take in a show, have dinner at the Stratosphere, drive to Hoover Dam, but nooooooo, I told her to go shoot full auto at The Gun Garage. She just send me a couple of pics ...

She paid for two mags, one used at semi auto to get used to firing the Sig MPX, and one at a full-auto mag dump.

The Gun Garage did it right by shuttling her to/from the Vegas Strip and providing personalized instruction. Her RSO was named Ed, and she told him he reminded her of me ... name and all. I'm so damn proud ...

Is that the SB Tactical brace? Does it collapse any further? How do you like it in general? I was looking at that or the Maxim Defense one for a pistol build.

It is the SB Tac stock and yes, it is fully collapsed(6.75"). The Maxim pistol brace is 5.375" fully collapsed. I could be wrong, but I think you have to use their springs and buffers(or JP SCS) so that would add to the price substantially.

I do like the feel. At first, I was worried it would feel like an AK underfolder or an HK MP5 retractable stock(not very comfortable cheek weld), but it is very comfortable and gives a very solid cheek weld. All in all, I am very pleased with it.

I snagged one for $140 from Palmetto last week, and it came today.

I am quite happy (admittedly, just mounted it and haven't shot it yet) and it's perfect on the SBR.

    SBR Sparc.jpg

Much better than the Bushnell TRS-32 I had on there before. That one is going back on my M&P 15-22 where it was originally.

Now I just need ATF to release the damn can for it.... *should* only be another few weeks to a month.
