Smails is clueless as to how sole proprietorships work and told the applicant that he should “...register with the state to protect yourself. What if a horse escaped for instance?”

The sound of the collective face palms could be heard across the street.

Smails asked if the CO made reports of the threats and asked if someone who is currently employed at Eastern Correctional who would document the threats against him?

I saw a guy at the Wawa open carrying with his wife or girlfriend today. He was wearing a firefighter T-shirt from his company. She's buying cigarettes and the clerk needed ID. Clearly the woman was 30 plus. He pulled out his carry permit and the clerk said I need a driver's license. So he pulled out his DL.

And of course Smails asked if he called the police? Answer was negative.

Applicant states that there is high gang activity on the Lower East Side where he works (Sparrows Point, Dundalk, Essex) and increased violent crime in Johnny Odipshitty’s county.

Lawyers are kind of funny. Many of them think they know everything. My contracts instructor didn't understand that waiters get a small wage, but the bulk of their pay was through tips. Doesn't everybody know this?

They are giving this applicant lots of time to describe his various FF activities.

B saying that they have had lots of FF/EMTs apply without threats and that is why he was disapproved.

Crowley is asking for clarification on the report to the MGA that says the board has sustained the MSP 91% of the time. Reversed the MSP in 7% and modified in 2%.

Smails asked where the stets went? They seem shocked that the percentage is so high. Are these guys smoking dope?

F U Taylor said that this board has only heard 90 cases.
