If you seriously believe that your “of the wrong sex” then unless you get the surgery you are a complete fraud and only a “wannabe”. If the state is actually going to issue a fraudulent official document then there should be accountability on their part. And as someone else mentioned what if you “identify” with being 10 or 20 years older so you can start collecting social security? Same thing. The state is verifying that you are actually something that YOU ARE NOT. I guess the .00005% spoke and the Virginia Dimocrats listened.

If I dress like a bird and caw like bird and say I am bird I get thrown into a padded room filled with sedatives. Say I am woman, i am championed and get to walk among the "normal" people....SMDH

It's just a new participation trophy for those with extreme mental illness and the need to self mutilate.

Post surgery, I am fine with changing their birth certificates. I fear this will become a willy-nilly back and forth depending on the person's mood.
If he/she gets the surgery, that shows dedication and I'm OK with that.

I say if it is allowed, it is a one time deal, if you change BC, you must forever live under that gender, never change. AND BC should have visible star asterisk something.

The milk of human kindness kind of seems to have curdled herein fellas...

    What gives?

So you get a quasi official state document that is a false document then you use that false document to get other official state documents like a DL. Can you also get out of legal obligations because people are looking for “John Smith” to serve papers and there is no longer a John Smith because it feels like being a Jane again.

Maybe they can list their father as Zuckermann. Where do the lies stop? When is a official state document no longer valid if it’s full of lies?

    I get it...in spades.

    Mighty Dog...relax. Inhale. Exhale.

My only point is that there’s exponential growth in shit that any of it alone, will give you apoplexy. Taken together, this BS in today’s society and birthed by radical leftist and hard core socialist politicians...well, it will no shit make you ill...by that, I mean cause you to start eating away at your spiritual reserve.

Thus, I elect to poke fun at it. Getting angrier and angrier hasn’t done shit for anything but my BP... high numbers are good, right?

I think the birth certificates should be left alone. If someone goes through all the trouble to get rid of their frank and beans (or add them) then they should have another certificate generated with their new gender and name on it, if they really need something on paper.

updated birth records? so a record of facts at the time of birth is no longer sufficient and needs updated due to a phycological process much later in life? makes no sense

They don’t need a new birth certificate. That’s BS as noted by everybody herein.

What we need is a new tribunal system and associated bureaucracy to manage AND enforce gender change. Yet another pooportunity exists for a twin process and bureaucracy for gender reassignment (vs mere gender change).

There’s lots of room here for more taxes and more spending and more laws and more rules and more enforcement.

    Yay

For comparison, monkeying with the "birth certificate" of an automobile will land you a fine, a felony conviction, and prohibited-status:
18 U.S. Code § 511. Altering or removing motor vehicle identification numbers
    (a) A person who—
    (1) knowingly removes, obliterates, tampers with, or alters an identification number for a motor vehicle or motor vehicle part;
shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.

Been following this forum for years. Almost never post. A+ to Mike though. I would subscribe to your newsletter. Rights aren't rights if they're only afforded to people like you.

Talk about government overreach, they shouldn't be tracking gender at all. Who made it the government's business what's in my pants?

I haven’t seen anyone in this thread suggest that Trans people shouldn’t have the same rights as others (and that’s certainly not my opinion). What I’m opposed to is the issuance of multiple certificates of live birth, and those that are inconsistent with reality.
