    Hello shooters

    I have a quick question,

A friend of mine is selling his shotgun,

How can I legally purchase it from him?

Does it has to go through FFL? Do I have to register it somewhere?

    Help is appreciated,

Are you both Maryland residents, and legally allowed to own guns?

If yes, then you hand him money and he hands you a shotgun. Simple as that. Long guns do not need a transfer between two Maryland residents. Some folks write a bill of sale, but it's not required.

Handguns need an ffl. Out of state long guns need an ffl.
