Finally got out again. Caught some nice ones. We got this one with a deformed claw. We were using razor clams and were way up the chester by southeast creek.

That's a good catch, my FIL was out yesterday (SE Baltimore County) and only got a dozen in a few hours. The last two years have been light for our usual spots. Previous to that, we were getting similar results as your trip this time of year.

Was out yesterday also what a beautiful day..
We started at 1pm and stopped at 5:30. Managed a nice bushel of fat crabs.
61/2 plus and not a single female this time all fattened up.

Were you just dropping those baskets down, waiting a couple min, and then pulling them back up? Or were you leaving them to soak for longer and then coming back?

The pics are from when we were picking the traps up to go home. We set them out and run down the line real slow and when we are done we go back to the beginning at the same speed so they soak for a little bit. if they are not biting sometimes we may fish for a bit or walk a beach especially if the kids are with us.
