I just picked up one of these strange birds the other day. Nice rifle. My Garand loads aren't cutting it though. Are any of you guys loading for this rifle? If so, what can you tell me?

I'm working up a target load. It looks like the trouble I was having was related to some barrel impingement issues. I opened up the barrel channel and put a thin shim under the receiver at the front screw to free float the barrel and it seems to have helped a lot. It's hard to work up a load when you can't get any consistency.
